Collecting and processing more than 200 milliongallons of oil per year, Safety-Kleen is the largest re-refiner of used oil inNorth America. Our closed-loop system begins with oil collection from thousandsof locations across the country. Once collected, it is sent to one of ourre-refineries for processing, where all of the contaminants and impurities areremoved, leaving the oil as clean and pure as the day it was first refined.This oil is then returned to the marketplace as products like EcoPower®, ourconsumer brand of re-refined motor oil.

Everyyear, Safety-Kleen returns more than 140 million gallons of used oil to themarketplace as clean, pure oil, thereby completing the closed-loop process. Thetotal impact of Safety-Kleen's closed-loop recycling of used oil and partswasher solvents prevents more than 1 million metric tons of greenhouse gasemissions each year.
